Welcome to CFR Learning

My name is Carol Mulcahy, and I lead CFR Learning. I am a fully registered teacher with over 20 years’ experience teaching in the UK and New Zealand. I have taught secondary education English and Media Studies, worked with the RTLB service (Resource Teachers for Learning and Behaviour), and taught on education and youthwork courses at the University of Auckland. With my husband and three sons, I have lived and worked in Pukekohe since 2010.

My experience, qualifications and educational research bring a specialist focus on Pacific education, diverse learning needs, and supporting young people through critical transitions into and beyond secondary school.

Supporting Whānau

Consultations are available to support families with strategies to help their child thrive. We can also create opportunities for whānau to connect with others on similar journeys.

A close-up, photographic-realistic scene of collaborative learning tools on a smooth maple table: color-coded index cards fanned neatly, a slim graphite tablet stylus resting across a dark blue notebook, and a tablet displaying an abstract progress bar and icon-based course modules without any actual text. A frosted glass divider behind the table hints at a larger tutoring center beyond, kept intentionally blurred. Warm pendant lighting overhead casts soft pools of light and delicate reflections on the tablet’s screen, creating a focused, encouraging mood. Shot from a slightly elevated, three-quarter angle with shallow depth of field, the composition emphasizes organization, clarity, and the professional yet welcoming character of the learning service.
